Ameer Alghusain, President & CEO of American Railways, Judge

Ameer Alghusain, President of American Railways and a Cleveland State alumnus, has been a judge since StartUp Vikes first began three years ago. He originally found out about the event through facilitator Katie Van Dyke, Director of Small Business Development Center. While he is a judge, he also worked with the teams throughout the weekend and provided coaching and guidance. Ameer sees Start Up Vikes as a way to support the Cleveland community. When asked why he keeps coming back each year, he simply smiled.

“I love this college and giving back. This is a great opportunity to help out and it’s fun.”

Ameer recently offered to donate $20,000 in engineering equipment to the Washkewicz College of Engineering and is actively seeking interns from Cleveland State.
