2016 Startup Vikes

Among the 150+ participants were students from Cleveland State University, students from 4 other local universities and community members. 47 business ideas were pitched and 13 teams formed on Friday night. 30+ mentors and presenters provided help, guidance and resources throughout the weekend ranging from strategy, branding, marketing, sales, financial, legal, design services and manufacturing to name a few.

The winning businesses that received a cash infusion and prize package (including time at local accelerators) were: MedRocket (formerly Avicenna) ($2,000), Vitay ($1,000) and 3Rs Housing Development ($500). FairConnect won the social enterprise prize package ($1,000).
